President John Sheridan finds himself sliping between alternate universes, and must call on old friendships to find his way home.

About the only way to make a movie set in the time of a TV series made 23–30 years earlier is to use animation, as done here reasonably well. It’s an okay story, with lots of dashing around, and set pieces. But it’s essentially just a fan-pleaser: a way to catch up with all the old crew, without adding anything significant to the canon.

Only worth watching if you are a fan.
