Jumper

Based on the superior Steven Gould book, this tells the story of David Rice, a "jumper" who can teleport at will. In the book he starts off with his ability being really cool, a teenage dream, but grows up as he discovered the downside. In the film, there's a lot less growing up, and a sinister conspiracy of Paladins thrown in (covered in the book Griffin's Story). Lots of great special effects, but not much depth or logic to the plot.
