This large glossy book is packed with stills from various ILM films, with shots of how the FX were created, and with cameos of various ILM personnel.

There's a wealth of information in here, but I found it slightly turgid for what is, after all, a big coffee-table book. (And it's so heavy you have to read it at a table, not resting on your lap!) Maybe I just prefer watching the films to reading about how it was done...
