These come with accompanying text from Watterson, explaining both the thought processes behind the stories, and the constraints imposed by the strip format. Fascinating cartoons, and fascinating commentary -- now I understand why the top line of the earlier Sunday strips seems a little disjointed -- some papers trim that line (barbarians!), so the rest has to be independent of it.
