Review

This remains consistently good, though there are some changes to the format this season, with General O'Neill in charge of Stargate Command. In order to keep the foursome together, there are rather fewer "planet of the week" episodes, and more character development, and more arcs. Indeed, there are some seriously major plot developments this season. But still with the great series continuity -- there's even a direct reference to a season 2 episode.

There's also a lot of humour, with a "clips" episode making tongue-in-cheek references to the show's own format, and a time-travel/alternate-timeline story also making great references, both to the SG-1 and the Atlantis series. Because these are all done as subtle in-jokes, they don't detract from the main plotlines.

One major gripe, with the distributors -- we watch these on DVD so they don't get screwed around by the broadcasters. But our DVDs have the episodes IN THE WRONG ORDER ! (Eg, we get O'Neill breaking up with his girlfriend before he meets her...) Why , fer Ghu's sake??
