Work 2.0: rewriting the contract.

Leaders are demanding ever more from their workers: more, faster, better. Yet those very same workers are from a new generation of canny consumers and investors: they know what they want, and when they don't get it, they go elsewhere. And they want to maximise their investment in their work: their investment of their time, their skills, their passion. So, leaders must make this possible, by giving them the tools they need to do their jobs: not least being user-centric information systems for knowledge workers. And absolutely no wasting their (precious investment of) time.

This manifesto for the new job contract (the titular Work 2.0) is a refreshing whistle-stop tour of a new way of designing the workplace so that workers have what they need to get the job done. Despite the anecdotal style, it's short on specific examples and advice, but does offer a new way of thinking.
