Neal Goldstein, Jeff Alger.
Developing Object-Oriented Software for the Macintosh: analysis, design and programming.
Addison-Wesley. 1992

rating : 3 : worth reading

Despite the title, there a load of good stuff here that is not in the least bit specific to the Macintosh. And the description is a breath of pure fresh air, and much-needed insight, in an otherwise overhyped area. (If you haven't yet suffered through the OO hype, this is still worth reading, to armour yourself against the hype when you do run across it!)

It was reading this book, and following up references therein, that led me to Lakoff's work.
