fiction (non-SF) book reviews

I don't read much non-Science Fiction fiction (too many books, too little time), but I occassionally indulge in detective fiction, and cartoons. I especially recommend the emboldened authors and titles. For each author, I list those books that I've read (and ones that are on my "to be read" pile) [and ones on my "to be bought when I find them" list]. I make no pretense to completeness: there might be other books by the author that I don't intend to buy, or don't know about.
