Dr Stephen Remde

I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Computer Science and the York Centre for Complex Systems Analysis at the University of York.

Current Project

I work with Peter Cowling (University of York) and Ping Jiang (University of Hull) on a KTP project with Gaist.

My project aims to model the deterioration of large scale infrastructure assets such as roads and footways, and optimise the treatments of those assets to support better allocation of public spending and improve the service level of the assets.

Current Supervision

An EPSRC funded case Studentship with Gaist looking at modelling and optimisation of real world periodic maintianance problems.

Gabor Makrai

One of 12 Marie Curie funded case PhD studentships in the CAPACITIE (Cutting Edge Approaches for Pollution Monitoring in Cities) looking an new ways of visualising pollution in decision support systems.
