Dear all

This message presents some research topics I would like to be working on in
the context of n FP6 project, possibly a 4th Call project

If you feel some of the mentioned topics would fit into a project of yours
or if you think we could create a project proposal including some of them,
please tell me

The main goal I would like to contribute to achieve is that of creating
generic agent architectures for general intelligence. In particular I would
like to create architecture level mechanisms that can play, for artificial
software agents, some of the facilitating roles that are supposed to be
played by the body of living beings with respect to adaptation and problem
solving.

Some of those goals played by living beings' body are:

- Symbol grounding and abstraction mechanisms (could be used for autonomous
language / vocabulary learning)
- Source of motives
- Visual image that can be used in Learning by observation, and Non verbal
communication
- Emotions and affect (powerful adaptation mechanisms, for instance due to
self regulation)
- Offloading cognitive complexity to the environment

Do you think this could fit into a project?

Feel free to forward this email to anyone you think might be interested

Thanks for your patience

Sincerely
-- Luis
