There are no social events planned before the workshop, but since there are several participants arriving early, we suggest you contact each other by leaving messages with the Alcuin College porters.
Monday 26th July 1999
Because participants will be arriving at a variety of times, we have made no formal arrangements for dinner this evening. However, if you arrive before 19:00, we plan to visit an indian restaurant in York. To participate, please email Edwin Hancock and assemble at Alcuin College entrance foyer at 18:45. We will either walk to the restaurant or take taxis to it.
Tuesday 27th July 1999
At 19:30, we will have a social dinner at St. Williams College. This is a mediaeval building next to York Minster. This is included in the price of the workshop.
Wednesday 28th July 1999
At 19:30, we will have a second social dinner in the Kings Manor. This is also included in the price of the workshop.
