Currently working on a number of multi-disciplinary and multi-site projects. These include the European Commission-funded i2Web Project (Inclusive Future-Internet Web Services), which aims to create authoring, delivery and compliance tools for developing and evaluating accessible web applications, and ChartEx (Charter Explorer), a JISC-funded project that is developing new ways of exploring the full text content of digital historical records. I have also worked on the European Commission-funded EU4ALL Project (European Unified Approach for Assisted Lifelong Learning), which developed a framework for accessible lifelong learning for students with disabilities.
I am particularly interested in web accessibility and am also currently undertaking a PhD investigating how best to support web developers in the creation of usable and accessible websites. This draws upon my work on the i2Web project and also my previous role as a web developer.
