Curriculum Vitae
My CV is available for download in accessible PDF.Research Statement:
My research centres on the creation of technologies that are usable, accessible and acceptable to everyone through good requirements and evaluation methods. I have worked with a variety of commercial and public sector organizations in domains such as e-learning and e-government in both research projects and private consultancy.
I am the primary investigator for the University of York on the new Inclusive Future - Internet Web Services project, which is developing new tools for creating accessible Web 2.0 content.
Research Interests:
- Core Research Areas
The following are core research problems that I am actively pursuing.- Measurement of accessibility/usability criteria
- Evaluation techniques for interactive systems
- User requirements elicitation and management
- Application Domains
The following are key application domains in which I am interested in exploring the above research themes.- Cultural Heritage and History
- Personal Home Technology
- Participatory Web Environments (Web 2.0)
- Health Informatics
