About Me
I am a Research Associate in the High Integrity Systems Engineering (HISE) research group at the University of York. My research interests are in safety cases (and assurance cases more generally) and software assurance. In particular I have been developing an approach for constructing compelling software safety arguments, and reasoning about argument and evidence assurance.
I have worked on a number of research projects including:
- MoD Software Systems Engineering Initiative (SSEI)
- Systems Engineering for Autonomous Systems Defence Technology Centre (SEAS DTC)
- BAE Systems Dependable Computing Systems Centre (DCSC)
I have also undertaken research for companies including Rolls-Royce Submarines and General Dynamics UK.
I have previously worked for BAE Systems as a software safety engineer and was involved in research into modular and incremenatal certification as part of the Industrial Avionics Working Group (IAWG). I have worked as a safety adviser for BNFL at Sellafield.
I am now located in the brand new Computer Science building on the Heslington East Campus. To see a map of the new campus click on location.
